The Ariston Thermo plant in Osimo successfully passed the WCM audit by acheaving the World Class Manufacturing ‘bronze medal’, equal to to 50 points on the WCM scale.
The bronze medal represents a significant achievement for this plant: Osimo and Arcevia are in fact the only plants in the Group which achieved this important result so far, a goal that outside of the automotive sector few factories in the world can boast.
World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is a methodology introduced by FCA Group in 2005 and based on the same principles of Lean Manufacturing approaches, which offers an integrated system of standardised tools for the organisation of the production lines.
FCA later founded the WCM association joined Ariston Thermo in 2010 along with some of the most important and advanced companies in the world. In Ariston Thermo WCM is now a common language that allows to standardize processes in all the plants of the Group, in every part of the world, eliminating waste and improving the level of quality, safety, respect for the environment and people involvement.
