Icona News Ariston Thermo Group Six Sigma Green Belt Wave IV Certification

The certification of 10 new Green Belts has been celebrated.

This is a very important step in our Six Sigma journey because we are celebrating the certification of our first Suppliers Class.
Six Sigma Green Belt is an intense 2 weeks full immersion training that provides the highest Statistical, Data Driven Problem Solving, and Process Analysis skills.
To be eligible for certification Green Belts have to pass a first ‘technical’ exam and a second ‘practical’ gate in which through the development of a Six Sigma project they have to prove to be able to apply the DMAIC concepts & tools.

From now on it is expected for them to continuously apply this new way to work, as the certification is not a goal reached, but really a starting point for a series of successful applications.
Congratulation to: Filippo Bologna (Polidoro), Michele Bortolotti (A.T. Gomma), Danilo Conti (Selettra), Graziano Di  Concetto (Bata), Piermario Elisei (Eltek), Paolo Ferretti (Valmex), Andrea Luzi (Valmex), Roberto Mondin (Taco Italia), Massimiliano Nizzoli (Worgas), Enzo Rasotto (Taco Italia) for this important achievement.

They have developed 9 projects attacking most important issue in different areas as:

  • Scrap reduction on connectors production process that has been improved by 70%
  • Reduced scraps on the heat exchanger on 2 very important steps of the production process
  • Improved the FPY of the burner welding process by more than 50%
  • Set critical dimension control and optimized the Cpk of the process
  • The correlation between traction resistance and geometric parameters has been set and appropriate process control was established. This led to process stabilization and performance improvement
  • Identified areas of improvement and critical factors impacting the rubber vulcanization
  • It has been then reduced variability on an hammering operation improving Cpk more than 100%
  • The resistance to breakage of a particular riveting operation has been then increased by 100% to ensure durability of the component

These projects are a consistent step forward in our never ending Quality journey and Customer satisfaction improvement.
