Ariston Thermo Group excels at Shanghai World Expo 2010

Highly successful opening for the Shanghai World Expo 2010, which is expected to have over 70 million visitors from all over the world. Ariston Thermo Group is one of the high-profile enterprises at this important event, thanks to its supply of the Elco brand solar thermal system that will heat water in the Expo Center and the Italian and Spanish Halls.

ELCO, an Ariston Thermo Group brand specializing in heating and distributed in Italy by Elco-Ecoflam, produced three projects for the Shanghai World Expo (open till the end of October), based on a solar thermal application for grey water that uses Elco tube panels.
The Division designed and installed a 350 m2 solar collector that will produce up to 3 tonnes of hot water a day (in the summer period).
The most significant project, in terms of image, size and symbolic expression of the event itself, is the system for the Expo Center. This building, like the other three, will continue to be used after the event, as a convention and exhibition facility. The other two projects were for the Italy Hall and the Spain Hall.
