The Ariston Thermo plant in Arcevia successfully passed the WCM audit by conquering the ‘bronze medal’, which was awarded to the company on 12th July.

The World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is a methodology introduced in FCA Group in 2005 which is inspired by the same principles of Lean Manufacturing approaches and offering an integrated system of standardised instruments for the organization of the production lines. FCA subsequently founded the WCM Association who Ariston joined in 2011, along with some of the most important and advanced companies in the world. WCM is now a common language that allows to standardize processes in all Group’s plants, in every part of the world, eliminating waste and improving the quality, safety, respect for the environment and people involvement.

WCM is currently operational in 13 plants of the Group, amongst which Arcevia is the first to conquer the prestigious bronze medal.

The bronze medal, which amounts to 50 points (out of 100) on the WCM scale, constitutes a significant achievement for the Arcevia plant, bearing in mind that only a handful of factories outside the automotive sector can claim this award.
