Ariston Thermo, a leading company in the thermal comfort sector (water and room heating) at a global level, hosted 20 students from leading Italian universities in its Milan branch for the last stage of the “Ariston Thermo Graduates Challenge”.

The initiative involved over 350 students overall – from Bocconi University, the Polytechnic University of Turin, the University of Pisa, the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, the University of Bologna, the Marche Polytechnic University and Tor Vergata University in Rome – who attended a series of two-day training sessions organised by Ariston Thermo in the various university locations.

At the end of the sessions, 20 participants grouped into 5 teams were chosen to present their projects in Milan yesterday in front of a panel of judges including the President of Ariston Thermo, Paolo Merloni, the Managing Director, Leonardo Senni, and other managers of Ariston Thermo. Roughly one-third of the twenty youths are trained in economics/management while two-thirds have a technical and engineering profile. The students average 24 years of age and all graduated with full marks, or are likely to do so.

The projects presented were based on a business case study drawn up by Ariston Thermo; the group of 4 winning students of the “Ariston Thermo Graduates Challenge” earned the possibility of working for a day as Ariston Thermo managers in the Group's branches in Italy, Germany, France and Holland.

The young winners, of team Nimbus, are: Angela Fraboni of Marche Polytechnic University, Sandro Okutuga of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Lorenzo Paoli of the University of Pisa and Davide Scaglia of Bocconi University.
